Nadia Murad Joins G7 Engagement Groups in Paris

Last week, ahead of the G7 Summit in Évian, France, Nadia Murad had the opportunity to join President Emmanuel Macron and representatives of the G7 engagement groups for an event at the Élysée Palace in Paris. The event brought together civil society leaders, advocates, and experts who have spent the past year developing recommendations for the Summit.

Nadia's message was clear: amid a global backlash against women's rights, gender equality and the fight to end conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) must remain on the world's agenda.

Standing Together Across Continents: Reflections From Nadia’s Visit to Colombia

During her recent visit to Colombia, Nadia Murad had the opportunity to meet with survivors of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV), local leaders, and human rights advocates who are working tirelessly to advance justice and healing in their communities. This visit marked her first time in the country – a place she has long hoped to see, not only for its beauty and culture but because of the profound connections between the experiences of Colombian survivors and survivors from the Yazidi community.
