Children in Sinjar Develop Resiliency & Learn to Heal from Trauma

Early childhood education is not easy to come by in the Sinjar region of Iraq or in the IDP camps in the Kurdistan region. Years of exposure to violence and conflict have had an adverse impact on Yazidi children's ability to nurture resiliency, develop social skills, and heal from trauma.

This past November, Nadia Murad visited Lithuania to discuss the current situation of Yazidi refugees along the Belarusian border with government officials. Nadia tirelessly travels the world, advocating for support for the Yazidi community on an international stage.
