Nadia's Initiative is Rebuilding Sinjar's Education Sector One School at a Time

Children who do not complete secondary education have a higher risk of facing abuse and exploitation in the informal job market, according to UNICEF. With knowledge and confidence gained from quality education, Yazidi children can recover from the trauma of genocide, learn to stand up for their rights, and make change in their communities.

Nadia’s Initiative has rehabilitated and reopened over 20 schools in Sinjar, helping more than 8,000 students by improving access to learning.
