Nadia's Initiative Commemorates 6th Anniversary of Yazidi Genocide

Six years ago, ISIS launched its genocidal campaign against the Yazidi community and changed their lives forever. They destroyed families, homes, and schools and subjected Yazidis to heinous acts of violence.

Six years have passed.

For six years, Yazidis have been displaced from their homes and living in IDP camps.

For six years, Yazidi children have gone without proper education and healthcare.

For six years, Yazidi women and girls have endured sexual slavery at the hands of ISIS.

For six years, the families of still-missing women and girls have worried about their loved ones.

For six years, Sinjar has lacked basic services and infrastructure.

We must not let another year go by without fighting for justice and working to create a better future for all Yazidi survivors.
