Sinuni General Hospital Is Up and Running

The doors at Sinuni General Hospital are open and the doctors and nurses are able to offer life-saving healthcare for over 70,000 people in the region.

We are proud that Nadia’s Initiative built the medical team a new X-ray room and laboratory. This means people who are ill or in pain do not have to undergo long journeys to other towns, but can be diagnosed and treated locally.

The old drug store was given a make-over and we also replanted the all-important garden areas, creating new, shaded outdoor areas for patients and staff. Something that's much needed in the heat of an Iraqi summer.

We couldn’t have done this without the generous support of the Austrian Development Agency.
