Nadia's Initiative, IOM, C4JR, UNAMI, and SRSG-SVC Host High Level Virtual Event on Yazidi Female Survivors Law

On September 30th, 2021, Nadia’s Initiative, IOM, C4JR, UNAMI, and the Office of the SRSG-SVC organized a virtual side-event on the margins of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The event provided a platform to take stock of implementation of the Yazidi Survivors Law, listen to voices of affected communities, and identify challenges and opportunities. The outcome of the event will lead toward renewal of the commitments and calls for concrete actions by all stakeholders, including the Government of Iraq, the United Nations, its member states, and other international partners interested and invested in the issues of justice, peace, and security, as well as a stable and prosperous Iraq, which guaranties and fulfills the rights of all its citizens, including minorities who suffered in the hands of ISIS.
